Chi Rho – A “Christogram”, or monogram which is a combination of letters that forms an abbreviation for the name of Jesus Christ. It’s origin began in the fourth century, when Emperor Constantine saw this image in dream and believed it would bring victory in battle. Constantine ordered that the symbol be painted on the shields of this army.
